We all have heard the stories… That Trujillo killed thousands of Haitians in 1937. But, do we really know what happen and why? In a previous article we demonstrated that the 1937 conflict between Dominicans and Haitians was taken out of context and has been used as a tool by many biased anti-Trujillo and anti-Dominican historians to justify their baseless subjective labels onto Dominicans.
The following pictures are from a researcher’s book that was archived and declassify by the CIA. It shows a historical content of what Dominicans and Trujillo had to go through with Haitians and what were the factors involved in the 1937 border incident.
